G & J Kartway is a bring-your-own-kart racing circuit in rural Preble County, Ohio, within about 60 miles of both Dayton and Cincinnati. It is not a rental venue: there are no arrive-and-drive karts, so you will need your own kart, helmet and race gear.
The track has serious history. Bill Gregg built it in 1958 as a 1/7-mile dirt track, it was paved in 1962, and since 1968 it has run as a half-mile, nine-turn asphalt circuit. It is a WKA Master Track and has been home to the Ohio Valley Karting Association (OVKA), a club of more than 200 members, since 1964. Over the years it has hosted IKF and World Karting Association events, and it draws racers from Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
If you have your own kart, practice days run on a published schedule and cost around $20. The 2026 race calendar, including OVKA, vintage karting and mini road racing events, is on the track's website. The entrance on Barnets Mill Road is marked by the silos of Barnets Inc., owned by track owner Gary Gregg.

Gr8 track clean & well maintained old school track the way they all should be.. A Blast...
Great place to go watch kids race, learn to race and grow into good lille racers. Great people out there so much fun.
We absolutely love this place. We paid at the door with the sign when we rolled in. Plenty of people knew what to do when inside the fence. I am told there are 2 entry points. Bikes start practice on the hour. Fast karts start at 20 minutes after the hour. And kid Karts go out at the 40 minute mark. the spectators bridge is the ticket to watch the action. The course has many different configurations. We like the 1B version. The kids got up to 50+mph in the 43-45 second range on 4 cycles The 2 strokes and bikes looked like a riot. Very nice track very good location. Couldn't ask for better. You'll love it come try it out it's only $10 to practice all day.
Growing up at the track was the best. Would love to see more investment in the facilities. The recent track repave has been great!
